Your broadcast environment
Infrastructure evolves.
Your services must keep running.
New EPG sources. A replacement CAS. Multiplexers from different vendors. Every change brings dependencies across the broadcast chain.
The challenge is to connect those changes with the infrastructure you already operate.
Keep EPG and access information aligned
Coordinate schedule changes and Conditional Access across the service lifecycle.
Work with existing head-end systems
Integrate with your MUX, SCS and schedule sources, including legacy environments.
Adapt when standard configuration is not enough
Extend descriptors, interfaces and operator-specific workflows through engineering.
The Casis platform
One operational layer. A connected broadcast workflow.
Casis brings DVB Service Information, MPEG PSI, EPG metadata and scheduled Access Criteria into a common operating environment. Stagis and TableCycler connect schedule preparation with table delivery.
Sources
EPG schedules, metadata and event triggers
TV-Anytime · XMLTV · DVB XML · CSV · live EIT
Stagis
Collect, pre-parse, check and convert schedules
Casis
Edit, generate and schedule SI/PSI, EPG and CA parameters
TableCycler
Deliver generated tables to the broadcast chain
MUX
Integrate with your existing multiplexer environment
Conditional Access path: Casis supplies scheduled Access Criteria to the MUX/SCS environment through its EIS–SCS interface using DVB SimulCrypt or OpenCAS.
Functional overview. The table-delivery path and CA interface are distinct. Components can run centrally or on separate servers and locations; the deployment depends on your infrastructure.
Key capabilities
Control the details.
Keep the whole chain in view.
A DVB SI/EPG generator and management platform with the scheduling, CA integration and extensibility that complex operations require.
01 / Service information
DVB SI & MPEG PSI generation
Generate and manage tables with control over descriptors, schedules and multiplexer profiles.
PAT · PMT · CAT · NIT · BAT · SDT · EIT · AIT · TDT/TOT
02 / Synchronization
EPG and CA, coordinated
Manage SI/PSI and CA together or independently. Schedule Access Criteria at schedule, event and sub-event level from a common source.
03 / Interoperability
Multiple Conditional Access systems
Work with MUX/SCS environments supporting DVB SimulCrypt or OpenCAS. CA-specific add-ins extend Access Criteria handling.
04 / Extensibility
Operator-specific configuration
Use a detailed desktop interface and modular add-ins. Extend private descriptors, regional requirements and interfaces through custom development.
05 / Architecture
Centralized or distributed
Combine Casis, Stagis and remote TableCyclers across servers and locations to serve multiple multiplexers from a central SI generation environment.
06 / Operations
Continuity and visibility
Support redundancy configurations, Watchdog services, SFTP, SNMP traps and predictive alarming. Stagis adds a web front-end for remote monitoring.
Windows Server 2025 support, 4K descriptors and active product development support the continued operation of established broadcast environments.
Professional services by 7bulls Casis
One platform. Your broadcast environment. Our engineering.
Your requirements do not end at the product boundary. We combine hands-on DVB and IPTV expertise with software engineering at source-code and system-integration level, developing solutions around the way your broadcast environment actually works.
Custom software development
Built around your requirements. Engineered by broadcasting specialists.
When your requirements go beyond standard configuration, we design and develop the software to meet them. Our work spans Casis extensions and the interfaces, automation and legacy systems around it.
We understand how EPG data, DVB SI/PSI, Conditional Access, MUX/SCS and STB workflows depend on each other. That broadcasting knowledge guides the code we write, the integrations we build and the regression risks we test.
Dedicated interfaces and integrations
Connect schedule sources, CAS, head-end systems and operator tools with software tailored to your data flows and operational requirements.
Operator-specific functionality
Develop private descriptors, dedicated add-ins, CA-specific features and metadata workflows that extend the Casis platform.
Automation and legacy modernization
Automate repetitive programming tasks, reverse-engineer existing dependencies and adapt established software as your infrastructure evolves.
Architecture & technical assessment
Review schedule sources, CAS, MUX/SCS connections, redundancy and legacy dependencies before defining the scope of change.
Define what to keep, adapt and integrate.
Integration
Connect Casis with EPG sources, Conditional Access systems, head-end infrastructure, STB workflows and existing operator tools.
Address the interfaces between systems.
Migration & modernization
Reverse-engineer legacy dependencies and support changes to CAS, operating systems and the surrounding broadcast architecture.
Modernize selected components while preserving useful infrastructure.
Testing & troubleshooting
Investigate software and integration issues across the Casis environment and connected legacy systems. Test custom changes against surrounding workflows to address regression risks.
Apply broadcast knowledge to debugging and validation.
Deployment & configuration
Configure Casis, Stagis and TableCycler, including distributed and redundant architectures, MUX connections and CA interfaces.
Fit the deployment to your operating environment.
Maintenance & SLA support
Access 1st- and 2nd-line support, upgrades, fixes and performance optimization through ticketing, telephone and online engineers across time zones.
24/7 support is available on request under an agreed SLA.
Engineering in practice
Real changes. In real broadcast environments.
From automated BAT imports to CAS migration and HbbTV/IPTV extensions, these delivered projects show how our broadcasting expertise translates into tailored software and working integrations.
CAS migration
Simplify a legacy DTH/IP architecture
Integrate the Casis family with a replacement CAS and backup requirements across DTH and IP. Reverse-engineer dependencies in the existing platform.
Delivered outcome
A simplified architecture with fewer database, licensing, connectivity and hardware dependencies.
Workflow automation
Automate BAT programming changes
Import operator-generated BAT definitions in XML, verify the files and apply them to the Casis line-up for playout.
Delivered outcome
Programming changes in this workflow are processed automatically, removing manual updates.
Project-specific extension
Enable HbbTV/IPTV application playout
Combine AIT configuration in Casis with an Object Carousel connected to TableCycler over IP.
Delivered outcome
A configured chain generating an HbbTV/IPTV application stream for the operator.
Scope and outcomes depend on each operator’s environment.
