  • Project duration: 01.09.2020 - 31.08.2023

  • Overall costs of the project: € 4 999 607.50

  • Co-financing [NCBR]:€ 395 000.00

  • The project is co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development as a part of Horizon2020 INDUSTRIAL LEADERSHIP - Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies - Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) programme.

The general objective of BIECO is to develop a framework that enables measurable, risk-based trust while developing, deploying and operating complex interconnected ICT systems.

The main tasks of BIECO are:

1. Vulnerability assessment - improving the detection of vulnerabilities within ICT components and understanding how a certain vulnerability can propagate across the whole supply chain

2. Resilience mechanisms - adopting a preventive approach and assume that a cyberattack will happen, exploiting that vulnerability

3. Auditing processes - Understanding the security guarantees provided by each of the ICT components, as well as their interactions with other elements of the supply chain in order to ensure the integrity of the whole ecosystem

4. Risk analysis - providing a tool audit complex algorithms and interconnected ICT systems, including the analysis of the interaction between components when they are exploited
