Together with one of the world's largest English language schools, we are creating the world's first robot to support language learning for toddlers younger than 4 years old. This robot will drive kids' curiosity with advanced AI methods. We will develop the necessary AI models, SaaS platform (based on AWS), software for the robot, assisting mobile applications and lesson creation tools.

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to take part in a research project involving AI, programming robots and building an ecosystem around it. In our daily work, we will use for example Java / Kotlin, so we need you to have strong knowledge of any of them.

You will join an international, agile team working on an innovative educational platform supporting learning English in partnership with Worldwide Leader in educational franchising.

Key responsibilities

  • coding (80% of your time);
  • building robot’s software;
  • building and supporting device management system;
  • supporting building robot’s ecosystem cross platform applications;
  • contributing to planning and estimating of stories and fixes;
  • being involved in the development, testing, building and deployment of the whole platform;
  • using and extending robot’s SDK.

We are looking for

  • knowledge of Android API: Java / Kotlin;
  • experience in device programming concepts;
  • experience in device management concepts;
  • knowledge of Gradle;
  • knowledge of GIT;
  • experience in Unit testing;
  • knowledge of Agile methodologies;
  • ability to work effectively with English speaking team.

Nice to have

  • knowledge of Device Monitoring systems;
  • experience with Cordova or similar frameworks for cross-platform development;
  • experience in Android NDK in native programming: C++;
  • knowledge of Embedded Programming concepts;
  • knowledge of IoT concept;
  • experience in automated tests;
  • experience in CI/CD pipeline.
  • knowledge of JIRA.
