WHAT WE DID:

Designed and deployed a high-availability, multi-tenant OTT platform with a custom ERC-20 incentive layer.

RESULTS:

40+ onboarded providers, rapid <24h tenant deployment, and a functional $TVCOINS circular economy.

OVERVIEW

The project was a comprehensive engineering initiative to bridge high-scale digital media delivery with decentralized finance (DeFi) incentives. Working with StreamIt, we developed a white-label Over-The-Top (OTT) platform designed to eliminate the infrastructure barrier for content owners.

The core challenge was building a system capable of standardizing complex video lifecycles (ingestion, transcoding, and packaging) while allowing for radical tenant-level autonomy. To drive user retention, we integrated TVCoins, a blockchain-based loyalty ecosystem. This required a robust bridge between traditional cloud backend services and Web3 protocols, ensuring that "Watch-to-Earn" mechanics remained gas-efficient and accessible to non-technical retail users.

THE ARCHITECTURE & CHALLENGE

The technical mandate required a solution that could handle massive, unpredictable traffic spikes across 40+ independent tenants without cross-tenant performance degradation.

Key Engineering Pillars:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): We implemented an automation-first deployment workflow that allowed new, fully branded OTT environments (iOS, Android, Tizen CTV, and Web) to be provisioned in hours rather than months.
  • Web3 Implementation: To solve the "High Gas" barrier on Ethereum, we architected a cross-chain strategy focusing on Polygon and Gnosis Chain (xDAI). This reduced transaction fees by >99% compared to L1, making micro-rewards for commercial views economically viable.
  • Smart Contract Security: Developed an ERC-20 compliant token ($TVCOINS) featuring a role-based access control (RBAC) system. We utilized a Gnosis Safe multisig (3-of-5) for contract ownership to mitigate single-point-of-failure risks.

Technical Highlight: By pairing a serverless AWS backend with a dedicated RPC node infrastructure (Infura), we achieved a seamless "Claim-to-Wallet" user experience that abstracted the complexity of blockchain interactions for the end viewer.

Results

The R&D and implementation phases delivered a production-ready ecosystem that transformed passive viewing into an active value-exchange.

  • Operational Efficiency: Achieved "Zero-Touch" tenant isolation, allowing 40+ providers to manage independent branding, analytics, and monetization strategies on a unified core codebase.
  • Scalability: The serverless architecture successfully managed highly variable traffic spikes, maintaining sub-second latency for content metadata delivery.
  • Tokenomics Stability: Integrated an Un-capped, Mint/Burn supply model, ensuring the token supply remained 1:1 with actual platform utility and reward-store inventory, preventing inflationary de-pegging.
  • Deployment Velocity: Reduced the Time-to-Market (TTM) for new streaming entrants from a typical 6-month cycle to under 48 hours.

Why 7bulls

Engineering expertise behind the solution

At 7bulls, we specialize in projects where scale, speed, and operational stability must be delivered at the same time. For StreamIt, this meant designing an OTT platform that could grow tenant by tenant, absorb traffic spikes, and stay reliable without increasing operational complexity. To achieve this, we applied our experience in building cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms on AWS serverless architectures.

The work combined expertise across the full video delivery pipeline, real-time analytics, and production-grade operations. Delivery was handled by a cross-functional team spanning backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, DevOps, and AI-driven personalization using AWS Personalize and custom logic, with a consistent focus on reliability, maintainability, automation, and long-term operability.

For organizations looking to launch or scale OTT platforms without compromising performance or operational control, this approach provides a proven foundation. We’re happy to explore whether a similar approach fits your platform and constraints.
