STB Software: Software Development Kit (SDK)

Using the 7bulls.com Software Development Kit operators can build custom interactive and broadcast only applications and deploy them on a wide range of receivers.

The SDK enables building custom native applications (in C code) as well as extending the functionality of the standard zapper application which is provided in source code as part of the SDK.

The Software Development Kit Includes the following:

• Zapper application and EPG source code
• DVB Middleware libraries and .h files.
• cross-compiling toolchain (H/W and OS specific)*
• firmware upgrade tools, bootloader, rootfs etc
• runs on Linux x86 for easy prototyping using X-windows

* The cross-compiling toolchain and H/W specific libraries licensed by SoC vendors may not be included and subject to execution of a separate licensing agreement with the SoC vendor.

Applications built using the Software Development Kit are written in C.
